Keeping up with goverment laws and market forces; Apec has implemented and enforced the "Safety for Life" program.
This program entails the following:-
Each new employee will not be allowed on any APEC jobsite until the individual:
-
Has been given the safety orientation.
-
Has filled the new hire application in it's entirety and has been stamped and cleared for compliance by the hiring officer.
-
Has been given the orientation of APEC company policies and procedures.
-
Has been assigned to a specific team leader.
The new employes safety orientation includes the following:
-
Hazards that may be present at the jobsite.
-
Hazards that may be associated with their job.
-
Location of the first aid kits.
-
Location of MSDS books.
-
How and when to report an injury.
-
All unsafe acts should be reported.
The above procedure will be administered by a qualified safety officer. No person will be allowed on an APEC jobsite
until the safety officer has certified the application the same day where the employee has filled out all documents
and completed all the safety and company training.
Once orientation and training is complete, a safety-for-life sticker will be affixed on the employee hard hat
for proper identification.
